VKV American Hospital
Health: Our basic need for a high quality of life
The hospital was first founded in 1920 as the Constantinopolis American Hospital and was acquired in 1995 by the Vehbi Koç Foundation to serve as a not-for-profit private hospital. It has 220 patient beds, 41 ICUs, 31 outpatient beds and 12 operation rooms. The VKV American Hospital has always aimed to provide highest international standards with its healthcare personnel, medical technologies and administrative systems, and to contribute to the development of Turkey’s healthcare system.
The VKV American Hospital continues to play a key role in the development of the Turkish healthcare industry offering exceptional quality in patient care with its physicians, nurses, advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies as well as administrative system and processes. The hospital is highly respected by medical professionals and patients alike and is now adding to this trust with its new Patient Experience Office. The Patient Experience Office analyzes patients’ perceptions of the healthcare services they have received in order to help further improve them based on this feedback. The program is the first of its kind in Turkey and emphasizes the importance of physical, emotional and mental support for patients and their families or caregivers beyond successful medical results.
