Ankara University School of Medicine Vehbi Koç Eye Bank (1963): In 1967 Vehbi Koç supported a nationwide initiative to set up an “eye bank”, an institution that accepts and stores donated corneas according to established medical procedures and sends them to clinics that need them. As an expression of our gratitude for his efforts, our clinic was renamed as the Ankara University Vehbi Koç Eye Bank.
