Stories from us

Zeynep Sevin Üstün

Koç University Law School Student

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I was born in Ankara in 1993. I completed elementary school and high school in Ankara. I graduated from the TEDAnkaraPrep School and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. I have been living in Istanbul since 2011. I am a sophomore at the KoçUniversityLawSchool.

Tell us about how you first became acquainted with the Vehbi Koç Foundation and your connection?
I became acquainted with VKV on the day I enrolled at KoçUniversity. From that day until now, my connection with VKV has continued through KoçUniversity. The part-time work program that I am involved with in the university’s corporate communications office has also allowed me to learn about various VKV projects and reinforce my connection with VKV.

What are some of your future plans and goals?
The ideals that I would like to realize as an individual in the field of law are being shaped by the education I am receiving at KoçUniversity and the perspective that KoçUniversity has given me. In this context, I would like to shape my future in a way that is worthy of the international education provided at my university.

What role does the Vehbi Koç Foundation play in your life?

KoçUniversity is, for me, not just an academic institution but one that I feel I belong to and that has shaped my life. In brief, KoçUniversity is making me who I am. Therefore, I believe that the feeling of belonging that has continued since the day I enrolled at KoçUniversity will continue in future years and that my connection with KoçUniversity and VKV will not be lost after I graduate.
