VEKAM published the third issue of the Journal of Ankara Studies

The third issue of the Journal of Ankara Studies featuring seven articles on the disciplines of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Health Sciences, Archaeology, Literature, and History, is now available.

The article titled “The Trajanic Tondo from Roman Ankara: In Search of the Identity of a Roman Masterpiece” will initiate an important discussion, claiming that the identification of the bronze Tondo - discovered during an excavation in Ulus, Ankara and currently on display at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations – as Trajan, the Roman Emperor is not accurate. The readers will be able to peruse the article titled “The Roman and Byzantine Era Ankara through the Eyes of Foreign Travelers”, the result of the most extensive resource search so far to learn more about the observations of the travelers visiting the city regarding the Roman and Byzantine era Ankara. This issue also features an article titled “Ankara Millî Mensucat [Türk] Anonim Şirketi (1916-1930)” that, supported by original documents, reveals the idea and spirit of domestic production as a nationwide initiative introduced as part of İttihat ve Terakki’s (The Committee of Union and Progress) “National Economy Policy”.
