The inauguration of the Kocaeli University VKV Ford Otosan Gölcük İhsaniye Vocational College for Automotive

The opening ceremony of the Gölcük İhsaniye Vocational College for Automotive, which was built with the support of Ford Otosan and Vehbi Koç Foundation for the Kocaeli University, took place on January 8 2014.

Thanks to the “Vocational Education: A Crucial Matter for the Nation” project supported by 21 Koç Group Companies and Vehbi Koç Foundation, for the past 7 years,  over eight thousand students in 81 cities benefitted from scholarships along with internships, employment priority and coaching.  In addition, 29 labs covering 8 different sectors, 7 training centers and 1 vocational high school were inaugurated.

As for the new Gölcük İhsaniye Vocational College for Automotive, it’s mission is to educate qualified manpower through hands-on professional education concept which is a first in college education. The students will receive standard international and vocational education and will then be employed in their sector, in various fields such as planning, production and sales, and in doing so, will contribute to the development of Turkey’s global competitive strength.
