Design & Skills and Dreams Workshops opened by TEGV with the support of Vehbi Koç Foundation

Education Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV) opened the “Design & Skills Workshop” and “Dreams Workshop” at the Semahat - Dr. Nüsret Arsel Education Park in Ankara with the support of Vehbi Koç Foundation at a ceremony on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Since its founding in 2001, Semahat – Dr. Nüsret Arsel Education Park in Ankara has reached more than 80,000 children with the support of 5,400 volunteers through various education programs, including distance learning. The Education Park aims to become a meeting point for children in Ankara with the recently launched workshops.

Cihan Özsönmez, General Manager at Vehbi Koç Foundation, said at the ceremony: “In today's world, design thinking is more critical than ever as a skill and approach to place people at the core and transform points of view. This is why Design & Skills Workshops matter. On the other hand, Dreams Workshop focuses on other qualities that complete an individual. In these workshops, we combine creativity, self-confidence, communication, and arts as complementary concepts. At Vehbi Koç Foundation and its institutions, we are always cognizant of our personal and social responsibilities. Accordingly, we team up with like-minded partners and continue to step up to the plate. We are grateful to TEGV, founded with this great purpose to provide education from an early age, for giving us a space and all our public stakeholders for supporting us.” Professor Levent Kılıç, Vice Chairman at TEGV, commented, “We are here today to launch two workshops, made possible with the contributions of Vehbi Koç Foundation. I want to thank them for giving us this opportunity.”
