Ayşe Erkmen Students in TANAS
Founded by Vehbi Koç Foundation in Berlin in 2008, TANAS aims to follow the developments regarding the contemporary Turkish arts, and to function as an international showcase for the contemporary Turkish artists.
Ayşe Erkmen, who is one of the pioneers of the contemporary art both domestically and internationally, and also a lecturer at Kunstakademie Münster, brings the works of her students together in an exhibition titled “New Kids of the Block” at TANAS.
This international group show – 23 artists from seven countries: Germany, Turkey, South Korea, Spain, Israel, South Africa and USA – covers a wide range of issues, media and techniques. Sculptures, video installations, photographs, paintings, and drawings will be presented.
