The Annual Report of Vehbi Koç Foundation is Published

The seventh edition of ‘VKV’, the annual report of Vehbi Koç Foundation, the first private foundation of Turkey established 50 years ago, was published in Turkish and English. The report provides an overview of the year 2018, documenting the activities and projects of the Foundation and the organizations under its umbrella in the fields of education, healthcare, culture and civic society, with insightful interviews enriching the content. The field of civil society was included in this year’s edition due to the large scale project which was initiated in 2018 and also the completed activities within the year.

This year’s report starts with the preface by the Chair, Semahat Arsel and the President Erdal Yıldırım, representing the Foundation’s slogan ‘The Onus Is on Us’, which embraces in the 50th anniversary of the foundation, followed by the Bequest letter handed down by the late Vehbi Koç, the founder. Within this context, this year’s interviews were made with young people educated and raised at the Foundation’s institutions, employees working in the Foundation’s institutions and project partners, who, each one of them, take the onus on themselves and contribute to create a better world with their expertise.
