Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit Starts Admitting Patients
Koç University Hospital Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit has started to admit patients. The Unit, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Olga Meltem Akay, provides advanced healthcare services with state-of-the-art technologies. Spread on 2,200 square meters, the Unit includes a technical area featuring a flow cytometry laboratory, a cryopreservation unit, an apheresis unit, and a clean room, as well as 14 single patient rooms, each about 30 square meters in size, 2 examination rooms, doctors’ offices, and a medication preparation room designed with transparency principle and overlooking the entire hospital.
