Nursing Scholarships
Competent and well trained nurses serving the people…
Established in 1974 under the presidency of Semahat Arsel, VKV Nursing Fund supports private career development projects carried out by nurses, under the name of “Vehbi Koç Foundation Nursing Support Fund” since 2003, and to date over 2,000 nursing students have been awarded scholarships. Nursing scholarships support talented students with limited means throughout their education.

Application and selection process:

Scholarship Offices of the Universities or the offices of the Faculty Secretaries announce their scholarships at the beginning of each academic year.

The student fills out the Vehbi Koç Foundation Scholarship Form and submits it to the school.

The scholarship offices of the universities carry out a pre-selection among applicants.

The Scholarship Commission composed of officials from Vehbi Koç Foundation and the school conducts in-person interviews with scholarship candidates.

The list of original and substitute scholars are announced to the students by the school.

Vehbi Koç Foundation starts the scholarship procedures.
Eligibility for scholarships:
To be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, or to be of Turkish origin
To be an undergraduate student of formal education
To be in need of financial aid for education
Not to have a disciplinary record
To have a grade point average of at least 60 over 100, 3.00 over 5, or 2.50 over 4
Not to be benefitting from other need-based scholarships
Scholarship Continuation Requirements
To maintain an overall cumulative grade point average of at least 60 over 100, 3.00 over 5, or 2.50 over 4 at the end of any academic year
Not to have any failed courses from previous years
To have passed all the subjects and moved up to the next class, and to actually continue studies
Not to be benefitting from other need-based scholarships
Not to have a disciplinary record
*Falsified declarations will lead to cancellation of the scholarship and may result in legal action for refund of paid amounts.
