Dr. Elif Nur Fırat Karalar receives Newton Advanced Fellowship Research Award
Dr. Elif Nur Fırat-Karalar of Koç University’s Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics has been awarded with the prestigious Royal Society Newton Advanced Fellowship. Her research project, titled “Dissecting the role of centriolar satellites in spatiotemporal regulation of centriole duplication” has been supported with £108,000 in funds, and once completed, will lead to an understanding of the underlying cellular causes of human genetic diseases and cancer.
