Melih Fereli

After attending the Istanbul High School for Boys, Waynesboro Area High School (PA), Robert College (BSc) and Virginia Tech (MSc), Melih Fereli worked at Lucas Industries from 1973 to 1985. In addition to performing as a member of the London Philharmonia Chorus (tenor), he also served on its Executive Board between 1985 and 1992. Fereli was apppointed director general of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) in 1992; a post he remained in until 2001. Fereli started to work as culture and arts consultant at the Vehbi Koç Foundation (VKV) in 2005 and continues to serve on Arter’s board of directors as its Founding Director since 2010. Fereli is additionally a member of the teaching staff at Istanbul Technical University Dr. Erol Üçer Centre for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM).
