Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am 10-years-old and going to the 4th grade. My hobbies are athletics, soccer, basketball and ping-pong. I am on the school track team. I participated in the sport of swimming for 5 years. However, I had to take a break from it this year because the distance from my home to school is so far. As far as my family goes, there are three of us. My father is a business consultant. My mother is a human resources director at Deloitte.
Tell us about how you first became acquainted with the Vehbi Koç Foundation and your connection?
I was introduced to the Vehbi Koç Foundation on the day I was born. I was born on February 10, 2003 at 4:20 am. My first connection began on that day. Nine years later, I took the test my school gives for the 4th grade and I passed it.
What are your future plans and goals?
I want to be an architect. After I become an architect, I want to be the best in the world. I want to build the tallest building in the world and go down in history. When I get old, I want to be a teacher. Until I become an architect, my goals are to get a scholarship, be on the IB track, study at the best architecture university and never stop being involved in sports.
What role does the Vehbi Koç Foundation play in your life?
The Vehbi Koç Foundation has a very important role in my life. It supports me in terms of school, sports and general culture. Of the 10 important things in my life, the Vehbi Koç Foundation is number three. For example, I am on the track team. I placed first in Istanbul at the Istanbul European semi-finals. I was chosen by the school for the Bilsem exam and passed the first phase. I am the goal-keeper on the soccer team we have formed among ourselves. These are all things that I love.
Is there anything you would like to add about your school?
Students are treated so well in our school. The teachers are very concerned and knowledgeable. The way we do our lessons is very practical. Our school is a trail-blazer.
