The “Anatolia Is Reading” Project visits Şırnak in its 3rd year

In response to the many requests for books  addressed to the Vehbi Koç Foundation, the foundation has decided to launch in 2011 a new project called received as part of the “Anatolia Is Reading” project launched by the Vehbi Koç Foundation in 2011, every year sets of 20 books from chosen among the 100 classic works recommended by the Ministry of Education  are put together based on grade level and sent to all of the elementary and middle schools in onea province.In 2011, VKF book sets were sent to 229 schools in Hakkari, and to help overcome the educational difficulties encountered after the earthquake in Van, in 2012 VKF book sets were sent to all of the middle schools and 200 elementary schools . In 2013, sets of books were sent to all of the middle schools and 200 elementary schools in Şırnak.

Work continues to ensure that the project keeps growing in future years with contributions from the companies and organizations affiliated with the Foundation.
