Koç University Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations  
        Set up in 2005 as part of Koç University, the Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (RCAC) is the first and only Turkish research centre on Anatolian civilizations. Each year, the centre grants junior and senior research fellowships to about twenty outstanding PhD students and academics from overseas and local universities conducting important research into Anatolian civilizations. Its campus is located in a historical building in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu district, which also serves as a residence for visiting fellows.

The Sir Steven Runciman Collection
     The 3000-volume collection of the renowned historian Sir Steven Runciman consists of books on the history, art, architecture and archaeology of the Seljuk, Byzantine and Ottoman eras.

The Dr. Esin Atıl Collection
    
The collection of Dr. Esin Atıl, a well-known Turkish art historian, consists of about 2000 books and journals, predominantly on Islamic Fine Arts.

 The Josephine Powell Collection
     The collection by the famous photographer, ethnographer and kilim expert Josephine Powell consists of over 1500 books and thousands of slides, negatives and photographs, the great majority of which portray the life and culture of Anatolian towns and of Anatolian and nomadic tribes.
