First established in 1974 by Semahat Arsel, the Nursing Fund provided the first impetus for the Foundation’s further education programmes in nursing. With most of its original functions now delegated to SANERC and the School of Nursing, the Nursing Fund has been renamed the “Vehbi Koç Foundation Nursing Support Fund” and, since 2003, provides funding support for research projects conducted by nurses for the further development of the nursing profession.

Provided scholarships to over 2000 nurses
Helped organized a great number of nursing seminars and conferences
Worked on behalf of Turkey’s nurses to achieve necessary legal changes
Provided funding for many special research and educational projects in the field of nursing
