Koç Schools Across Türkiye Convened for the Future of Education

The Koç Schools, donated to the Ministry of National Education as part of the Vehbi Koç Foundation’s “build, transfer, protect” initiative, launched in honor of the Republic’s 75th anniversary, have now reached a total of 21. These schools, along with those in the Hope Cities program, recently convened at The Koç Schools Meet-up to exchange experiences and best practices.

This year's recipient of the Vehbi Koç Award, presented annually by the Vehbi Koç Foundation alternately in the fields of culture, education, and healthcare, was the Turkish Female Physicians’ Education Support Foundation (KAHEV). Founded by female physicians, KAHEV offers scholarships to children and young people while also supporting schools in providing up-to-date educational opportunities.

Semahat Arsel is the First Honorary Member of Turkish Nurses Association

Established in 1933, the Turkish Nurses Association has awarded the title of "Honorary Member" to Semahat Arsel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vehbi Koç Foundation, for the first time in its history. Semahat Arsel said, "It is very important that not only Vehbi Koç Foundation, but all nurses support the mission and profession of nursing and also Turkish Nurses Association which was founded for this purpose.”

Project “City Walls of Istanbul” moves to digital platform

The project about the City Walls of Istanbul, some of which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is now moved to a digital platform. The project was initiated by Koç University’s Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for Late Antiquity and Byzantine Studies (GABAM) and is carried out by an international team.
